SVET Chairman Dr. M. Mohan Babu expressed his anguish at the growing levels of corruption in the society, hitting hard the downtrodden sections. Addressing a big gathering of students, staff and the general public at the premises of Vidyanikethan educational institutions, he said: "When I observed Mounavratham against corruption on October 2, 1997, people thought I was mad. If there is nobody to fight against corruption and if everybody hesitates to take a step forward, there would not have been a Gandhi, Nehru, Indira Gandhi, MGR or NTR."
For Best Academic standards
Dr. Mohan Babu further urged the students to utilize the modern educational facilities which are at their doorstep. "The term younger generation is always taken in a narrow meaning. What we lacked in those days is at their disposal today. During our days, we had no computers or great opportunities. It is only the opportunities which make the difference. I request my students to take a stern path in their career and resolve to root out corruption at all fronts. Until the last breath of my life, I shall continue to provide the best standards of education to my students. You should strive hard to bring happiness to your parents."
